The history of the park …
The park was originally founded by the Sannen family in the 1960s. What started as a residential park in the heart of nature in Poppel has grown over the years into a true landmark in the region, both for holidaymakers and second-home owners.
Due to its geographical location on the Belgian-Dutch border and right in the heart of the Campine region, Tulderheyde has developed into a place where space, nature, and relaxation take center stage. The park became well-known for its spacious plots, its residential character, its swimming pond, and its family atmosphere – key assets that have won over generations of guests and seasonal residents.
For more than 50 years, the park has continued to build its identity as a family business, becoming a destination that offers year-round pitches, rental accommodations, and recreational facilities centered around nature and outdoor living.
An important recent chapter was written in 2024 when Tulderheyde was acquired by Arden Parks. The ambition at the time was to continue operating the residential park in its familiar form, while investing further to develop the park in a sustainable and future-oriented way.
Today, Tulderheyde continues to present itself as a green oasis in the Campine region, where nature, peace, and holiday experiences meet, while respecting the character that has defined the park for decades.
